Cartagena is one of those cities that has some amazing sunsets, so when coming to Cartagena you must catch one. Here are some recommendations where you can enjoy a beautiful sunset:
Cafe del Mar: It is a beautiful Cafe on top of the wall and you can see the sunset right in front of you. It has a very nice atmosphere, vibe and music but the drinks are a bit expensive. However, it is a treat and worthy. Try to go there early, because the good spots get filled pretty quickly.
Hotel Movich: You can experience a beautiful sunset with a nice view of the city and it doesn’t get too crowded. The sunset is a little bit farther than Cafe del Mar, and cocktails can be a bit expensive and are ok, I recommend maybe sticking to beer.
Laguito Beach: You can enjoy a nice sunset by the Laguito beach and enjoy some cheap beers. You can rent a “carpa” (tent) for $15,000 COP and beers for $ 4,000 COP. The only downside is that you can get a lot of vendors bothering to buy stuff from them, it could be bothersome.
Anywhere on the wall or on the street towards the ocean: Another good option is to go to the store, buy some beers and sit facing the ocean on the wall. You can enjoy a beautiful sunset as well and it is a more economical option.
