Colombia is one of the best places to learn Spanish in South America, due to a more clear pronunciation, as well as Colombian’s openness and friendliness when talking to foreigners that are trying to learn their language.
If you are planning to visit Cartagena just for a few weeks or a few months, learning the home language is a great way to immerse yourself in the culture and make your visit much more enjoyable.
There are several Spanish schools in the city, but there is one in particular that I recommend, not only because the founder is my brother (disclosing some bias here) but because he is truly one of the best teachers in the city. The school is called Letra Caribe and its main focus is for you to be able to express ideas, feelings, emotions in Spanish, using regular classroom settings and also using several amazing interactive programs such as “Viviendo Español” and more!
Independently of the school you choose, it is always great to try to learn a new language or practice and polish some of the Spanish you learned either at school or in another South-American country you visited.
