Visit an Art Gallery in a Parking Lot

Cartagena is a very picturesque city, full of vibrant colors and beautiful architecture. So when visiting you should take away a piece of art that reminds you of this great city.

There is a quaint gallery in Getsemaní, inside what it used to be a parking lot.  I spoke to one of the artists, Wilmar Santana from Capurgana in El Pacific; and he walked me through some of the artwork. Their pieces are very colorful and showcase Cartagena’s balconies, streets, and Afro Colombians.

Galleria Daniela is located in Calle del Guerrero, right before Plaza de la Trinidad and it is a great opportunity to get a souvenir and decorate your place with a beautiful piece of art from Cartagena and support the local artists. The balconies painting costs around $40,000 COP. Check it out on your way to Plaza de la Trinidad.
